It may come as a surprise to some that sprinkled across the valley among all the popular donut chains, there are small, mom-and-pop donut operations producing quality donuts for reasonable prices. Dee’s Donuts is one such shop. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the name brand donut shops, but for those looking for delicious donuts, personable service and great prices, Dee’s doesn’t disappoint. One can expect to find so many to choose from that it may be difficult to narrow down the choices. Both the blueberry donut and apple fritter are worth a try. Don’t be surprised if the staff throws in a few extras on top of your order. -Amy L. Tjaden
