Los Roques Beach

The enchanting and ecologically sensitive Los Roques Archipelago National Park has been a landmark since the year 1972. While the archipelago's landscape is dominated by seagrass plantations, mangroves and coral reefs, it is also remains famous for its pristine beaches and water fronts. Cayo de Agua

Cayo de Agua is a picturesque islet found on the eastern shores of the Caribbean Sea. Geographically a part of Los Roques archipelago, it is administered by Venezuela and is a part of the beautiful Los Roques National Park. Owing to its secluded location at the northern tip of the country, it remains famous for its powdery white sands and isolated beaches. The island's cerulean blue waters and rich marine life make it a famous destination for scuba diving.

Los Roques Archipelago

A cluster of islands and islets amidst the blue hues of Carribean, Los Roques del Archipelago is a natural jewel where marine biodiversity reaches its peak. 130 kilometers (80 miles) away from the mainland of Venezuela, the national park was founded in 1972 with the goal to protect the pristine beauty and natural wealth found here. Spread over 221,120 hectares (546,399.42 acres), the park houses some of the world's most remarkable coral reefs with 61 species of corals, 60 species of sponges and over 250 species of marine fauna. Touted to be one of the biggest marine parks in the Caribbean Sea, the park is home to endangered sea turtles and approximately 90 bird species. A conglomeration of ecosystems, the mangroves and seagrass beds also are a significant landform. With such rich biodiversity and exquisite natural beauty, the national park has become a booming tourist destination and an important center for fishing and pearl diving.
