Top Rated Restaurants & Cafes in Marseille

Chocolaterie Puyricard

This family-run establishment is based a few kilometers away from Aix-en-Provence on the road to Puyricard, and has been in business for about 30 years. There is an enchanting range of chocolates, with constantly changing designs and colors. The reputation of this house is worldwide and this alone makes it a good reason to enjoy sampling their wares when in the town center. A simple must for chocoholics!

Teavora

The Teavora is a very special and unusual tearoom. As soon as you step in, leaving behind the noisy streets of downtown Marseille, it’s as if taking your first step on an island beach paradise, with white sand and everything. Yes! There is sand on the floor and comfy mattresses to lie on (napping is allowed). A great place to completely retreat from the hustle and bustle! There is a friendly atmosphere and a wide choice of teas and other hot drinks, as well as smoothies for those who are not big fans of tea. And for the sweet-toothed, there are some great pastries available.

Nomad Café

The Nomad'Café offers a wide variety of coffees and teas from the Mediterranean area accompanied by delicious pastries. Periodic concerts in the evening make this a fun destination after dark. The prime aim of the tea-room at this establishment is to offer a meeting ground for people belonging to different backgrounds. So if you love mingling and interacting with people, make sure you plan a visit to Nomad' Café soon.

Indigo

Open since 1992, Indigo is always very friendly either for lunch or dinner. One should not expect a completely authentic Tex Mex in Marseille. Nevertheless, Indigo’s cooking is as Tex Mex as it gets, and it's pretty good considering its fusion cuisine. Chili con carne and fajitas grace the menu. At night there is sometimes live music and also special entertainment on demand (private birthday parties are possible). In the summer, Indigo has its own private beach. How about basking in the sun on a deck chair while sipping a Margarita?
