The first harvest for the MacLeod Family Vineyard was in 1985. Originally, the vineyard simply sold grapes to some of the best known organic wineries in the business; however, it decidedly began making wine and giving private tasting tours drawing from years of knowledge and experience. Tours are given solely at 10a. Although the time may appear too early for wine tasting, this two-hour activity is one of the region's best. The MacLeod's are a humble family expressing a good sense of humor and passion for sharing knowledge about grapes and wine. Tasting is done on a hill overlooking the 50-acre (20-hectare) property. Each wine is paired with fruit or chocolate and plenty of laughter. Reservations are required. -Hoiyin Ip
