"Ancient Roman Senate House"
Originally built by Julius Caesar around 44 BC, Curia Julia once served as a temporary meeting place for the Roman Senate. A church was housed in the structure in 7th Century, due to which, Curia Julia is one of the very few structures to have survived till date. Over the centuries, the Curia Julia underwent several renovations and restorations, reflecting changes in political power and architectural tastes. Today, the structure stands as a partially restored ruin, with its imposing facade and interior remnants offering visitors a glimpse into the grandeur and majesty of ancient Roman architecture.
