This world-famous choir broadcast its first radio performance in 1929 and has been performing around the world ever since. With critically acclaimed performances in venues ranging from the White House to Red Square in Moscow, this group is not to be missed. Performances take place at Temple Square, inside the Tabernacle where a massive pipe organ and outstanding acoustics back up the choir. Guests may attend both rehearsals and network broadcasts and should be seated at least 15 minutes before any performance begins. No admission fees are charged.
This new venue occupies the building once home to the defunct Wagner Bag Company. The intimate space houses a 150-seat black-box performance stage, rehearsal studios, and the offices of the Repertory Dance Theatre, the resident dance company. Built in 1990 as part of the Downtown Alliance's city-center revitalization efforts, the center hosts performances as progressive as the theatre itself. The Jeanne Wagner Theater was born out of a community need that was recognized by The Performing Arts Coalition. Wagner, a businessman built this theater in memory of his beloved wife Jeanne. This large theater opened on March 31, 2001, and hosts concerts, plays and musicals, and is a part of Rose Wagner Center and the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts.
With a state-of-the-art sound system, effective lighting and an impressive list of performers, The Depot is Salt Lake City's most popular concert venue. The Palladium is known for the live acts and gigs it features the year round. With a hi-tech sound system and facilities, this venue is known for the great line-up of concerts it hosts. Providing a stage to upcoming and established bands and musicians, this venue is frequented by a young crowd with a preference for some fresh and original music.
The Kilby Court is an excellent concert venue located in Salt Lake City. The place provides a platform for upcoming bands who get promoted by holding gigs here. The atmosphere during a concert is fantastic and the venue is flocked by fans when a famous band is about to take stage. Several bands such as Anathello, The Black Angels, The Warlocks, White Rabbits, Ladytron, The Dead Science, Dear Stranger and many others have kept audiences entertained. The venue lacks adequate space for larger crowds, however the musical talent that one witnesses here, more than makes up for it.
