Standing proud to a height of 2360 meters (7740 feet), the Fritzerkogel is one of the taller mountains of the Tennengebirge which is a range of the northern Limestone Alps in Austria. The soil comprises mainly of Ramsau dolomite and Dachstein limestone. There are two routes to the solitary peak from the Laufen Hut from Abetenau: east side trail and west side trail. The west side is an easier climb, and is used as a ski route during the winters.
