"Historic & Beautiful Park"
Perched atop the Lindenhof Hill, this picturesque space in the old town is one of the prime historical sites in the city. What stands as an open space in a leafy setting today was the site of an ancient castle after which it also became the site of political operations in the city. Tourists congregate to Lindenhof today to soak in the history and for the stupendous views of the old town, the nearby monuments as well as the Limmat river.

In good weather visitors to the bridge enjoy a wonderful view: behind Lake Zürich rise the Glamer Alps and down along the lake Zürich Old Town shows itself to advantage. The original Quaibrücke was erected together with the Uto, Seefeld and General Guisan quays to plans of the town planner, Arnold Bürkli. It was opened in 1887. About 100 years later the bridge was replaced by a new construction.
