Maybe Mae

It could get a little tricky to locate the Maybe Mae, because it is so well camouflaged to live up to the theme of being an alcove. When on the Peel Street, keep tapping on the wood-paneled doors, one of them will just open up into the seating area of this old-school cocktail bar. Albeit limited on size, the smallish nature of the bar adds immeasurably to its charm. Quaint bulbs illuminate the interior and a stone wall lines the bar, which is adorned with a number of Australian as well as international spirits. The bartenders at Maybe Mae are masters at the craft and they're known to create potent concoctions that keep spirits high for a long, long time. The ambiance and the comfy seating spaces are simply perfect for quieter conversations.
