Nestled high up in the imposing yet magnificent Julian Alps, Mangart is Slovenia's third-tallest peak behind only Triglav and Skrlatica, standing at an impressive 2,679 meters (8,789 feet). The mountain straddles the northeastern frontiers of the Slovenia-Italy border and was first ascended by renowned adventurer and naturalist Franz von Hohenwart in the year 1794. Known as the cooler lake of the region, the Goggausee Lake is a very calm basin of water in the commune of Steuerberg, Carinthia. The water body has a small bog drain towards one of its ends and is surrounded by dense forest and the Alps mountain range. Due to forest area, the region around the water body is very sparsely populated but is very popular as a fishing spot. It has abundant quantity of pike, carp, tench, rudd, roach, and bream.

Eisenhut mountain is located near the pass of Turracher Höhe in the Austrian Alps. The mountain derives its name from the fact that the nearby village of Turrach was once a major mining dristrict for Eisen or iron ore.
