Located in Villach commune of Feld am See, Afritzer See is a picturesque lake. The lake was divided into two smaller parts due to a rock fall in the adjacent mountain range and are connected to each other by Talwasserscheide. Today the lake is a very popular bathing and fishing area and is also one of the cleanest beaches in the town. Local families are often spotted near the lake for a nice dip during a warm summer day.

Keutschacher See is located in Carinthia in Austria at an elevation of 506 meters (1660 feet). It is fed by Rakouzabach and Weissbach, and drains out into the Reifnitzbach. This lake has been featured on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list of Prehistoric Dwellings around the Alps, in 2001 as it housed the Neolithic settlement on its banks. The privately owned lake has camping grounds for visitors and has a maximum depth of 15.6 meters (51.1 feet) and covers an area of 1327 kilometers square (512 square miles).

Known as the cooler lake of the region, the Goggausee Lake is a very calm basin of water in the commune of Steuerberg, Carinthia. The water body has a small bog drain towards one of its ends and is surrounded by dense forest and the Alps mountain range. Due to forest area, the region around the water body is very sparsely populated but is very popular as a fishing spot. It has abundant quantity of pike, carp, tench, rudd, roach, and bream.
Magdalensee is located in Carinthia in Austria, to the east of the Villach city lying at an elevation of 486 meter (1594 feet). The lake is fed by underwater sources, and drains into the Seebach, a tributary of the Drava River. It is home to 12 different species of fish including catfish and pike. It covers a surface area of 14 hectares (34.5 acres) and has a maximum depth of 5.2 meters (17 feet).
A one of a kind man-made lake, located in the Radovna Valley, Lake Kreda has an intriguing history of how it became one of the most popular lakes in the region. The area of the lake was extensively mined for chalk until 1985 and as a result a basin was created which led to the formation of this beautiful lake. Eisenhut mountain is located near the pass of Turracher Höhe in the Austrian Alps. Rising to a height of 2441 meters (8009 feet), the mountain is the tallest among the Carinthian-Styrian Alps and the Gurktal Alps. The mountain derives its name from the fact that the nearby village of Turrach was once a major mining dristrict for Eisen or iron ore. The range is very popular among local population for hiking and mountain climbing.
