Sheroes' Hangout Café

Sheroes' is far from being a run-of-the-mill hangout place. It is where inspiration thrives, activism saunters and the true nature of feminism unfolds. Operated by a troupe of rather vigilant acid attack survivors, this cafe is where the unabashed will of these women interlaces with an intellectual ambiance. Sheroes' Hangout has been initiated by the campaign Stop Acid Attacks, in a bid to encourage more and more women to sustain themselves and be whole again, all in a cafe setting. The Readers' Cafe serves some really great savories - think steaming pakodas, grilled sanwiches, pasta etc. - while its scarlet wall is lined with a range of books to choose from. Sheroes' is also an active hive of events and interactions centered around social and political topics; what's more is that this eminent space has been visited by a number of dignitaries and celebrities across the country.
