New Lucky Restaurant

The New Lucky Restaurant in Ahmedabad is a place where you can dine with the dead. Yes, you heard it right! This facility is almost 50 years old and was constructed over graves and caskets. It is situated near the Lal Darwaza region across from City College. There are around 12 burials within the restaurant, and it is believed that some of these tombs are those of 16th-century Sufi saints. Each day, after washing the tombs and paying their respect, the tombs are adorned with new flowers. The owner believes that the coffins have brought him good luck and helped to grow his business and this famous restaurant was even visited by the famous artist M.F. Husain. Even the people don’t mind it and come here for a new experience and to taste the delicious food.
