"Spanish Medieval Castle"
Perched atop the Alacranejo peak in the Spanish countryside, the 12th-century castle of Calatrava la Nueva is a popular tourist attraction with its rich history and remarkable Gothic architecture. Although partly in ruins, the interiors of the castle have been well restored with a stunning rose tinted window found on its church wall. Today visitors can see the towers, staircases, convent, refectory, kitchen, cellars, stables and cemetery on a guided tour that lasts about two hours.
