Hoogovensmuseum

Established in the year 2009, Hoogovensmuseum was started by Stichting Industrieel Erfgoed Hoogovens with an aim of preserving the rich industrial culture and heritage of the iconic steel manufacturing site. Tata Steel, the present owner of Hoogovensmuseum also sponsors its upkeep and maintenance. Hoogovensmuseum's collection focusses on the IJmuiden region's industrial history, particularly the noted steelworks. Exhibits on display include photos, old documents, film material and other interesting objects. A visit to the musuem allows visitors to explore the times during steelworks and cavernous iron era.
