The Ark

Originally envisaged, in 1965, as a hang-out for students, The Ark has undergone quite some changes since then. This non-profit organization is dedicated to bringing live entertainment to the city and is an eclectic place for various concerts and shows that take place here. Special workshops and annual festivals are organized too. From jazz to contemporary, this place is truly a haven for those who love music. Not a huge place, but it has all the right ingredients to make it one of the most successful music venues the city has to offer.

Michigan Stadium

Ranked among the largest stadiums in the world, Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor is home to the Michigan Wolverines. The stadium was built in the year 1927 and it was legendary athlete Fielding Yost who envisioned that one day, it would need 150,000 seats. Almost meeting his expectations, the stadium had its record attendance of 115,109 in the year 2013. It is considered to be one of the largest college-owned stadiums in the nation and attracts large crowds during college football season. It also plays hosts to graduation ceremonies and other events hosted by the University of Michigan. The stadium provides shuttle services, restrooms, ramps and special seats for the disabled.

Michigan Theater

Opened in January 1928, the interior of Michigan Theater retains its old classic charm. The theater boasts of seating 1610 in the auditorium and approximately 200 people in the Screening Room. Mainstream, classic and independent movies, along with performances and other stage events are organized here. The beauty of the theater is overwhelming, and it's a nice place to even catch a movie by yourself.

University of Michigan Museum of Art

The University of Michigan Museum of Art exhibits collections that include masterpieces that are 150 years old. Visit the museum to see classic and contemporary collections from Africa, Asia, America, Europe and the Middle East. The museum plays an important role in restoring art and also works for the conservation of rare paintings.

Dexter Cider Mill

The oldest of its kind in the state, the Dexter Cider Mill is touted as crafting tasteful cider that has been a favorite in the community for decades. Since its inception in 1886, the historic cider mill has been regaling patrons with its carefully created cider packed with a distinctive flavor while also offering other goodies such as sauces, maple syrup, caramel apples, and delectable doughnuts. The mill's idyllic location along the Huron River and its picturesque setting render it the ideal place for an outdoor snack.
