Fig Tree Drive

This spectacular driving route provides unexpectedly lush rain forest scenery in otherwise dry Antigua. A small sign marks the turnoff to the road just past the town of Liberta, heading west, and within minutes you'll be deep in the verdant jungle. Thick tropical vegetation is dotted with shanty houses, many of which sell fruit, homemade jams, and pepper sauces.
