Parador de Arcos de la Frontera
As the principal town of the typically white villages of Andalusia, Arcos de la Frontera is a special tourist attraction. A serpentine street leads up the steep ridge of the mountain, where the pretty whitewashed houses are lined up next to each other. Just under 30,000 inhabitants now live in the narrow little lanes that wind around the ruined castle. Buildings worth seeing are the Late Gothic Mudéjar style Church of the Assumption and the Gothic Church of St. Peter.
