Butler-Perozzi Fountain is a beautiful centerpiece located in the heart of Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon. It is an artwork by an Italian artist - A. Frilli. In 1915, the fountain was exhibited at a world art exposition, where Gwin S. Butler and Domingo Perozzi purchased it and donated the same to the City of Ashland. This famed artwork was then beautifully resorted on a stoned foundation with a stairwell at the Lithia Park by the council.
Originally an eight-acre (3.2-hectare) green landscape back in 1892, Lithia Park is now one of the largest in Ashland. It gets its name from the excessive lithium concentration discovered in the spring waters in 1907. Sprawling across 93 acres (38 hectares), it features two duck ponds, several picnic areas, miles of hiking trails, a bandshell for musical performances, and a winter ice skating rink. It is open to public from Monday to Friday between 8:00a and 5:00p.
