Heralded as the second largest market of its kind in the State of Oregon, the Astoria Sunday Market operates as a non-profit organization to encourage and support local artisans, farmers and manufacturers. Featuring over 200 vendors every week, the market has offerings ranging from fresh local produce to hand-made products. Also, in a bid to foster local talent, a music concert is arranged at the Food Court each week, featuring native artists and bands. The market has come to be known as a cultural and social phenomena more than a mere market in the past few years, given that it is a sort of confluence of communities.
