South City Kitchen Midtown

South City Kitchen Midtown offers southern delicacies in a sophisticated atmosphere. Located on Crescent Avenue Northeast, this elegant restaurant features wide tables, minimalistic furnishings, and an elaborate bar. Begin with their specialty crabcakes, try the sorghum-glazed pork belly, or go for a quintessentially southern salad with romaine hearts, okra, and kale. You can head over to this place for a leisurely weekend brunch, and try the bourbon cured salmon, she-crab soup, or grilled fish. Wisteria is a lovely neighborhood restaurant in the Inman Park area. The atmosphere is modest-rustic, yet very comfortable. Interior decoration mainly consists of a combination of brick and wood finishes with tables for two aligned across the wall. Wisteria is a great place to take visitors for a lively evening meal. The Menu is American with Southern culinary accents, e.g. their signature dish which is Molasses-Rubbed Pork Tenderloin, is absolutely delicious. Seafood lovers may try North Atlantic Skate Wing served over stone-ground corn grits. Service is very friendly and efficient.

Fat Matt's Rib Shack

Delicious barbecue and mesmerizing music have combined to make this Midtown spot a local legend. Opt for their ribs slab or pork sandwich with Brunswick stew and collard greens, and wash it down with a chilled beer. Don't leave without a bottle of Fat Matt's Secret Sauce, so you can try their pit-roasted wonders at home. Some of the best local blues bands perform here nightly for your dining enjoyment. It makes for a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy delicious barbecue and great music in Atlanta.

No. 246

No. 246 creates a crisp appearance with its white-washed walls that throw the contrasting dark wood tables and rustic pizza-paddle wall décor into sharp relief. Large overhead metal lights hang from the ceiling, perfectly illuminating the bar and the center seating. A basket of giant, fresh baguettes flaunts themselves on the wall by the waiter's station. If you come for brunch, you'll notice the number of pizzas (topped with bacon, potato, poached eggs, and cheese) that spring from the kitchen. Dinner here would call for an order of the well-flavored Agnolotti which is served with a healthy side of greens or the gnocchi. An interesting dessert called the Spoom makes a great ending, served in a waffle cone and topped with olive oil. At the chef's counter, a meal for four is highly recommended. Get seated in front of the busy and fiery kitchen and experience an on-the-spot planned meal by Chef Belline himself!

The General Muir

It's not every day that the traditional Jewish culture of New York City makes its way to the South. General Muir pays homage to the Jewish bakeries of the Big Apple in Atlanta. This shop offers handmade bagels in a variety of flavors in addition to a myriad of delicious sandwiches. The deli boasts checkered floors and marble countertops and an atmosphere that is equally casual and classy.
