Bad Urach

Bad Urach is a German spa town known for its therapeutic baths and rich history. Civilization in this area dates back to the Stone Age but it is with the construction of the Hohenurach Castle in the 11th Century, that the area was given a political recognition. Some of the important historic sights worth seeing here include the old castle with its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements, the wooden houses which date back to the Medieval Ages, and the Church of Saint Amandus which is a marvelous example of Gothic architecture.
