The place is divided into a cafe, shop and chocolate factory, so you can get a feel of how chocolate is produced and also purchase what you like the best. The chocolate here is produced organically, using eco-friendly methods for procuring ingredients. The place has a country side vibe to it, enveloped in the delicious aromas of cocoa, inviting you to a wonderful experience.

A large dessert list features temptations galore, and if that's not enough, Metis boasts what may be Bali's most extensive fine wine selection. Come here for a fabulous fine dining experience that doesn't come cheap, but is well worth a one time splurge.

This is fine dining par excellence with top quality food perfectly complementing the inspiring scenery. The menu covers a multitude of sinful delights such as lobster, succulent grilled steaks, pasta and Mediterranean tapas and mezze combos. There is an excellent wine selection; Bridges Bali actually has its very own fully stocked retail wine shop. Dining takes place out on the picturesque river view terrace or indoors in a private dining room complete with lounge and wine bar. The views are delightful and make for a quintessential romantic atmosphere after dark. Choose from a mix of international cuisines, such as Sydney Rock Oysters, mixed sushi, chilli-salted squid, grilled freshwater prawns and Asian spiced duck.
Run by an American-Balinese couple, one can get authentic apple pie as well as chicken satay here. One of the original eateries in Ubud, this three-story, cozy restaurant has the Ayung River at its feet. Be sure to go down to the lowest level to see the view. Sample the tasty special grill dishes and the thick and delicious juices and lassies (blended yogurt). Beer and local wines are served as well and there is no corkage charge. A small shop of high-quality crafts and jewelry is on the top floor.
Oscar's is a small open-fronted bar and lounge with an altogether unique decor. It combines vivid modern artwork, dimmed lighting and rustic bamboo furnishings, giving it the feel of an artsy student lounge bar. It has a decidely bohemian ambience with chilled out electronica background music and low, comfortable sofas. Twice weekly there is live rock and jazz music usually accompanied by cheap cocktail promotions and 2 for 1 beers. There is a full-sized pool table and an attractive sidewalk terrace. The menu at Oscar's is basic; pasta, sandwiches and a few Indonesian favorites like nasi campur and beef rendang make up the menu.
Crispy Pata is a delightful Asian eatery surrounded by a lush tropical garden boasting picturesque views of terraced rice paddies. It is bright and airy, yet the décor is decidely rustic with heavy oak furniture and wooden flooring. It bills itself as an "Asian warung," but the food quality and service puts it firmly in the fine dining category. The menu consists of Thai, Filipino and mainly Indonesian food such as Balinese pork, seafood sate and grilled fish. All are executed with plenty of flair utilizing everything from Italian herbs to Asian sauces. There are some delightful savory entrees such as potato perkedel and chili prawns, and there is also a commendable selection of calorific Indonesian desserts. Warung Pitstop is a bright and airy all-American 1950s style diner with a distinct motor racing theme running throughout. The floor resembles a giant checkered flag and the walls are adorned with faded images of the golden age of motor sports. Expect the usual mix of ribs, steaks and burgers, frozen cocktails and loud rock anthems. A well-stocked bar serves up local and imported beers which are a steal during the early evening happy hours. The restaurant has a loyal crowd of homesick expats and becomes a lively spot during major sports events with two large screen TVs showing round the clock action. Mertha Sari Bhuana has a secluded look to it. Set in a lush tropical garden, the coffee-house is in an open pavilion with traditional roof. Glass jars of coffee powders and tea are neatly arranged in wooden shelves and on a long timber table. They offer tea and coffee tastings so that you can choose your brew and enjoy a cup or two in their idyllic settings. They also offer some tasty snacks.
An establishment spun entirely from bamboos, Kubu At Mandapa features 9 intricate cocoons made from the plants. These allow guests to admire the picturesque Ayung River as they dive into their delectable food. The ambiance is soothing and the atmosphere is pleasant, with cool breezes drifting through the nooks and crannies of the restaurant. The Mediterranean-European cuisine perfected by Kubu is a marvel, and guests will leave feeling wonderfully sated. Guests can pick from either the A-la-carte or the degustation menus. An assortment of wines can be chosen from to accompany the savory food. Dessert, kids and vegetarian menus are also available here.
