"Memorial Gravestone of Ouija Board Inventor"

Born in the year 1847, Elijah Bond was a successful lawyer in Baltimore City. He was best known for filing the first United States patent for the Ouija board. After a successful career he died in 1921 and was anonymously buried in his family’s plot at Green Mount Cemetery. It took 15 years for Robert Murch, America’s foremost Ouija historian to locate his ambiguous grave. In honor of Elijah Bond, Robert erected the Ouija-themed headstone in 2008 which features the iconic Ouija design from the original patent.
