Top Rated Nightlife in Baltimore

Search Radius (Miles)
Ottobar

The hippest place in Baltimore to see an alternative rock band is this scruffy, but chic, midtown establishment. The bar itself is very small, so many patrons stand or sit in front of the tiny stage, or wander around the multi-colored second and third floors. The bands are either unsigned locals or independent-label acts. All play loud and fast.

Cat's Eye Pub

According to Celtic music aficionados, this Fells Point pub is the place to go in Baltimore to hear authentic Irish folk music. With its wood-paneled walls and gigantic oak bar, it's the perfect setting for hoisting a glass of Guinness or Harp and enjoying a jig or reel. The steady stream of Irish musicians is supplemented by local and national jazz, blues and zydeco acts. Fell's Point can be quite busy on weekends, so to enjoy the full homey effect of this place, visit during the week.

13th Floor

This nightspot offers a breathtaking view of the city from the top floor of the old Belvedere Hotel. Settle in for happy hour and watch the dusk settle over the city as its lights gradually begin to twinkle on. The calm won't last much past 9pm though. That's when local dance bands take the stage, the disco ball begins to swirl and the club transforms into a slightly silly and thoroughly retro dance party. The 13th Floor also serves excellent bar food, including a small selection of delicious desserts.

Petit Louis Bistro

The Northwest Baltimore neighborhood of Roland Park is one of the city's prettiest. Full of beautiful old homes and ancient oaks, it's the perfect setting for this French-style bistro. The fare is simple, with piquant sauces and perfectly prepared meats. From the Mussels Provencale to the Grilled Lamb Brochette, you just can't go wrong. Plus, there are more than 100 excellent, and very affordable, wines available. You'll definitely want to linger: the hardwood floors, dark paneling, brass fixtures and elegant table settings provide a wonderful atmosphere.

The Horse You Came In On Saloon

The Horse You Came In On Saloon is a quaint and quirky bar that features live music every day of the week. Established in 1775, the bar is Baltimore's oldest saloon and has an interesting claim to fame as the author Edgar Allen Poe is believed to have frequented it. Just as lively and vibrant as this saloon was when it first began, it lets the unique décor all over the spacious place speak for it. "The Horse" serves up some delicious Jack Daniels infusions, succulent burgers and hot snacks. If it’s fun, music and a lively atmosphere you crave, then stop by "The Horse" any day of the week. Come in for a drink to check it out. They have two well-stocked bar areas and an extensive selection of craft beers. The seats are horse saddles! They have live music. During the day, it is fun, and you can only imagine how lively it must be at night!

Kona Grill

Kona Grill is a family restaurant located at a close proximity to the Baltimore Convention center.
