K Village

K Village, termed a "neighborhood lifestyle mall," has become a popular venue on Soi 26, not least because of its many good restaurants. Designed around two open areas, the square and the oval, it has a spacious feeling and is quieter than most Bangkok malls. K Village does not have the upmarket brand name shops, but is home to less well-known chic labels. Over fifty small shops sell clothing, accessories, sportswear, fabric, jewelery and beauty products, and there is an Apple store, a large Gourmet supermarket and a home center as well. It is also a great food venue with Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and European restaurants on top of coffee shops, juice bars and delis. -AH
