Enter through the narrow doorway into one of the most dazzling looking bars in Bangkok. The Iron Fairies' decor appears to be a cross between an iron factory and a fairy grotto. Immediately on entering, there is a wrought iron spiral staircase. Moreover, inside seating is along a bar supported on metals, poles and cogs, or at small tables along the wall. The decor also includes burnt crumbling brick walls, old leather satchels, lights in wire cages, jars of 'fairy dust', chains and industrial pieces of machinery: it is all very atmospheric! The owner is also a blacksmith who creates the 'iron fairies' in the workshop/restaurant, and you can purchase his works at the restaurant. The menu is mostly burgers, although tiger prawns and salad are available, and the food arrives on a heavy wooden block. Drinks include wines, beers and potions (cocktails).
