Cole Land Transportation Museum

Located on Perry Road, Cole Land Transport Museum is named for its founder Galen Cole, a veteran philanthropist born and raised in Bangor. The museum features interesting displays and exhibits that chronicle the history and progress of transport in the state of Maine. There are over four sections in the museum, including Farm Place that covers the development of farming equipment like tractors, the Fire Engine Lane displays various railroad exhibits, Snowplow Alley covers technical advances in snow-managing and clearing equipment whereas the Motorcycle and Bicycle section features interesting bikes on display. Open between May and November, the Cole Land Transport Museum makes for an enlightening visit.
