"Well-Known Landmark"
Café de l'Òpera opened in 1929 opposite the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Opera House) and has since become a landmark of sorts. The eclectic decor artfully combines different styles, including 19th-century, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The two floors and terrace on Las Ramblas are always packed with tourists and locals munching on snacks and savoring the aromatic coffees. The first floor is a good spot for a quiet coffee in a relaxing atmosphere. The selection of coffees, beers and pastries is simply excellent.
