Ignacio de Lassaletta is a downtown gallery located on the first floor of a tall building in the busy Eixample neighborhood. Unlike other galleries this place has exhibitions of ethnic artifacts, sculptures, carvings and ornaments from faraway cultures and civilizations. However, local artists are not ignored here. Previous exhibitions have included one where the the works of famous painter, Mateo Vilagrasa were displayed. These included oil paintings and some drawings that depict Barcelonian cityscapes from the last ten years, a period during which Vilagrasa has had his studio in this town. This cozy gallery is located on the ground floor of a unique building with vaulted ceilings, in the Ciutat Vella, near the busy Rambles. Though it only has one hallit is quite large and impressive. Pergamon specializes in contemporary art and displays works by Spanish artists. It holds both collective and monographic exhibitions that include works by artists such as Perico Pastor, Descarga, Serra de Ribera, Neus Martin Royo, Galofré, Artigau and Palazzi.
