"Historic Hills"

The most significant feature of the tiny little village and civil parish of Clutton, Somerset is the Iron Age hill fort - Highbury Hill. The univallate enclosure which lies in the woodlands is eight meters (26 feet) in length. Silver Roman coins found in the 18th Century as a result of archeological excavations were eventually sold in Bristol. This historic hill fort has been marked as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
