"Tudor Manor House on Sprawling Gardens"

Lypiatt Park is a medieval park located near Stroud in Gloecestershire. It lies on about 100 acres (40.46 hectares) of land, and has sprawling gardens, a chapel, a granary and several ponds as well. Records show that it was built in the 13th Century and has been passed down many families since then. In 1919, the Lypiatt Park Estate was broken up and sold. While W.J. Gwyn bought most of the estate, he later settled there with his brother-in-law, Judge H.B.D. Woodcock and sister. Finally, in 1959, it was bought over by a British sculptor Lynn Chadwick whose sculptures and figurines have bought him international acclaim. He restored the house and died there in 2003. Ever since, his heirs have put in a proposal to make it open to the public in order to showcase his work to the public.
