Marlborough House

A delightful guesthouse situated away from the main road yet within easy reach of the city centre. It is particularly convenient for walking to the Royal Crescent where, it should be pointed out, traffic is no longer allowed. Interestingly, this is one of the few hotels that prides itself on providing cuisine using organic products, including organic wine. Candlelit dinners are offered in its lovely dining room which, like the rest of the house, is furnished and decorated in keeping with its age and ambiance. A ground floor bedroom is available for those with mobility problems and for the disabled traveling in company. Fishing can be arranged for those so disposed. Special prices for mid-week breaks are available on request.

One Three Nine

Gold Award Winner and recommended by leading independent guides including Which magazine; this attractive establishment is close to the city center yet situated in a popular residential area where imposing Victorian houses abound. All rooms are en suite and boast both baths and showers and King or Queen size beds. Furnishings and decor are of the very highest quality and an extensive breakfast choice is offered. This is a quality guest house establishment where your hosts warmly invite you to stay and assure you of their personal attention at all times; they will even prepare a delectable hamper if you fancy heading off for the day and want to take along a picnic. Special rates for mid-week breaks are available on request.

Paradise House

This Georgian building reflects the elegance of a bygone age. Detached and standing in its own grounds, it is within walking distance of the city center, the Roman Baths, the Abbey and the shops, yet Paradise House stands secluded behind high walls and mature trees. There are well-tended lawns at the rear of the property and a breathtaking view of the city and the hills beyond. Rooms are individually decorated, one having a four poster bed from which you can awake and view the garden.

Three Abbey Green

Enriched with history, Three Abbey Green provides the perfect atmosphere to stay in the culture-rich Bath. Only steps away from major attractions, the house is bound to please the history-seeker immensely. A veritable set of refreshingly-furnished guestrooms awaits the discerning traveler at Three Abbey Green with genuine woodwork and restored architectural motifs that go well with the cozy mattresses and modern en-suite bathrooms.

Lucknam Park

Much favoured by the "jet set," Lucknam Park is an elegant former mansion that echoes the ostentation of former days. If sheer, unadulterated luxury is your style and money is no object, then this is the place for you. Six miles from Bath and set in ancient parkland, this hotel has everything, including a leisure spa with indoor swimming pool and sauna, an equestrian centre and a health and beauty salon plus a games room. An award-winning restaurant aims to tempt your tastebuds.

The Ayrlington

Set within beautiful, award-winning oriental gardens, this 5-star guest accommodation features excellent views of Bath’s medieval abbey. It offers luxurious themed rooms and freshly cooked breakfasts. Each room at The Ayrlington has its own unique decor, and includes an iPod dock/DAB Radio, Egyptian cotton bed linen, and LCD TV. Some rooms also include four-poster beds, private entrances, and antique furniture. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Guests can relax in The Ayrlington’s leafy walled gardens. The garden features fantastic oriental decoration and a 10th-century statue. There is also an elegant lounge bar offering a selection of beverages. The elegant dining room looks out over the hotel's award winning gardens to Bath Abbey. A full English breakfast is cooked to order from locally sourced ingredients. Vegetarian options are also available. Free, secure parking is provided at The Ayrlington. Bath’s historic centre, with its Roman Baths and famous abbey, is just 10 minutes’ walk away.
