Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital

One of the oldest public hospitals in Bangalore, Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital is located next to the busy Shivajinagar bus stand. The hospital is an affiliate to the Bangalore Medical College and has its own Post Graduate Research Institute. Built around 1881 in the British era, it initially served as a civil hospital. Down the ages, many patients flocked here as it cost lesser than other private hospitals. However even as of present day, there are still many more newer facilities to be added for the improvement of services.
