"Double Moat Manor"

The Pedimore Hall originally dates back to the 12th century but the current building which is a manor house originated in 1659. There is a lot of evidence of the previous building like the double moat that used to be present. The present manor house is used as a residential place and was built by Sir William Wilson. The architecture contains the style of Georgian elements throughout, is two storeyed and is has classy elements even on the inside of the house. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building. The house has also been a place of archaeological research as there have been a few excavations on the site since 1977, of which one was conducted by the Birmingham University Field Archaeology Unit in 1998.
