"From Wood to Stone"

The Ulverscroft Priory located in Ulverscroft, Leicestershire is the remains of a former monastery and priory. It is a site of English heritage and attracts a lot of tourist attention. The priory was built in the 12th century and was dedicated to St. Augustine subsequently. The structure was originally made of wood before being converted into a stone structure. The remains of the priory and the church tower stand strong on the site, with the lodging house being converted into a farmhouse.
