"The Art of Weaponry"

Churchill Forge Hill built in the 18th century, is a small piece of local culture. One of the last water powered forges found in the area, the forge hill provides an excellent peek into the century gone by. The forge contains two water wheels to supply power and was essentially used to produced edged metal tools like spades, shovel etc, which were mainly used in the 1900's. The forge, for centuries has been owned by the Bache Family, and is currently being looked after by the Churchill Forge Trust. A small admission fee is taken from visitors for the maintenance of the forge.
