Patinoire de Boulogne-Billancourt

On Broad Street stand three of the main architects of the Industrial Revolution. Boulton, Watt and Murdoch, each brought in an unmatchable contribution to the revolution and this statue is to commemorate their work as well as the personalities themselves. The statues are golden in color and thus the trio is also nicknamed 'The Golden Boys' or 'The Carpet Salesmen', since the statue shows them holding what looks like a carpet. The statues are a creation of William Boyle and were built by him in 1956. These life size figures refuse to go unnoticed, especially with the addition of the golden color. The statue is one of the subtle reminders of the Industrial Era and show the three great souls in action, making it look almost alive.
