Shackerstone Railway Station

The Shackerstone railway station is a preserved heritage station. It is the main starting point and the headquarters of the Battlefield Line Railway which is a heritage railway line running from Shackerstone to Shenton. During its time the station was used extensively by passengers and for the transport of goods. The station is the most lavishly built structures and is the most well preserved on the line, with a beautiful tree lined route leading you to the station. There is a small railway museum on the station along with a tea room, a loco shed and a few shops. Post a tour of the station, you can also enjoy a ride on the heritage line, which is now used only as a tourist attraction.
