Armed Forces Memorial

The Armed Forces Memorial, as the name suggests is a memorial built in 2007 to honor all the army men who have served the country with their lives in various situations and circumstances post the second world war. The memorial has the names of the soldiers written. The memorial holds around 16,000 names. It is a stunning piece of architecture with a 43 meter (173.89 feet) diameter stone structure with two curved and two straight walls. The memorial has an emotional connect with the people and stands as the pride of those who lost their family members during various wars. The list of names reminds one of all the conflicts the country has survived through. It is situated inside the National Memorial Arboretum.
