"Enchanting HIstory"
The Beaumanor Hall is an enchanting and romantic piece of architecture which is deeply connected to the second world war. Built in 1854 and designed by William Railton, it belonged to the Herrick family. During the Second World War, the estate was taken over by the War office. Y stations were set up here to collect intelligence signals during the war and some of the equipment is still preserved here. German and Italian encrypted messages were stored here. Today, the hall belongs to the Leicestershire County Council and is used for various events, especially wedding and conferences.
