Loughborough Central Railway Station

Loughborough Central Railway Station is the headquarters of the Heritage railway line, Great Central Railway. It is the most unique and the only fully equipped station on the line. It opened in 1899 and was built lavishly with a good yard, a goods office, a hotel, a wooden paneled booking hall, a wide stairway arcade and beautiful glass and wood canopy. The station has been preserved and reflects the 1950's style. There is a museum located here that displays small exhibits. Since it is the headquarters you will see trains arriving and departing all the time. You can also book a ride on the Great Central Line starting from this station.
