Tixall Gatehouse was the 16th Century home of the Aston family and was used to imprison Mary, Queen of Scots. The house is a heritage structure which was bought over by the Landmark Trust in 1968. It is a beautiful Elizabethan building situated in a vast estate covered with green pastures. The trust carried out some restoration work and now lets it out as a holiday home. The house accommodates up to 6 people in its two single, one twin and one double room. It is perfect for a relaxing holiday just with the family.
