It is now owned and managed by the Lichfield District Council and is owned by Lichfield City Council. It has become a popular area for a casual strolls or brisk walks. The year 2009 saw Minister Pool launch a Speak'er's Corner on Dam Field, where debates, celebrations and performances take place.
