An interesting gem and one of the city's important artistic landmarks, this fine arts museum boasts a grand collection of nearly 18,000 artworks - ranging from paintings and sculptures to arts and crafts. The arts and crafts collection is especially notable, representing not only Kyrgyz folk art, but also artistic treasures such as woodcarving and embroidery. Besides this, the museum's walls are also adorned with a number of Soviet classic artworks, notable among which is Semyon Chuikov's 1948 painting 'Daughter of Soviet Kirghizia’.
