Golden Mile

Amidst the north and south piers in the seaside town of Backpool, stands the stretch of Promenade. It is popularly called as the Golden Mile. On an accurate note, it measures 1.6 miles in length. The Golden Mile has become highly popular since the latter part of the nineteenth century in particular. The stretch looks extravagantly beautiful at night time and is a driver’s delight. Dominated highly by slot machines, the Golden Mile is a totally enchanting ride and the Blackpool Railway Station lies in close proximity to it.
