The much renown and noted site of the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes carries monumental value and has established itself as a Grade II designated building by the English Heritage. Also commonly referred by the locals as the ‘White Church’, it is one of the prime church sites in Blackpool for tourists and worshipers. The construction of the church building was done from the year 1955 through 1957 and it was further renovated and refurbished in 2008.
