Foot-launched paragliding is popular on the hill, with paraglider pilots flying to Fair Snape Fell or even as far as Beacon Fell. The hill is home to the club competition, the 'Parlick Grid Challenge'.

Once a quaint little country house, the Victorian Winmarleigh Hall is today a buzzing and attractive outdoor education centre. Originally built around 1744, the house was used as an adventure camp since 1998. The beautiful Jacobean style building has a lot to offer in terms of history and tradition and the original features of the building have still been maintained. Its large rooms and sturdy construction make the house ideal for groups of children and ensuring that along with sports they get acquainted with some interesting history as well. The various activities offered here include archery, quad biking, raft building, zip wire and many more.
