The Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium is an iconic, historic building in Shreveport, Louisiana. The intricate decor and glamorous interiors is breath-catching. The auditorium has hosted several notable artists throughout history and is hugely popular even till date. Shreveport Waterworks Pumping Station, one of the earliest water plants of the city, was shut down in 1980 and this historic site has been restored as a museum ever since. Included in the list of the historic landmarks of the city, it was one of the first water plants to use chlorine in the purification process of water and the visitors who pay a visit to the museum today get an opportunity to witness the age-old machinery and equipment and understand in depth about the working of a water plant. Admission to the museum is free and group tours can be arranged by the authorities on request.
