Kloster Mehrerau has been the site of some kind of religious order or the other since at least the 7th century. The current ivory-hued complex with the beautiful, Romanesque church dates from 1854. and looks perfect with the massive Bodensee in the backdrop. A visit to the abbey is especially worthwhile because of the winged altar.
